ammu is a boy!!!

our inexperience in ex-identification and the late development of organs in cats, make it difficult to clearly mark out the sex in kittens.
baby ammini, as it turns out, is a boy. we are retaining the name 'ammu'...

our desire to give appudu a future mate, has supremely egged our faces and now we will have two boys isolated and looking for female company very soon.

Short story:

A (female -- we weren't as bad as you people in this :-P) kitten entered our lives, as part of this Winter's cat litter, stayed with us for some time, and suddenly "disappeared" one night. Our suspicion is, she wandered outside to attend nature's call, and she was carried away by some male cat in the neighbourhood (as male cats are known to resort to infanticide and cannibalism).

Good luck with your own pets. :-)

Now, she would have made a grrreat mate to your appudu.... Black and White ;-) If only you had announced earlier on this blog I would have arranged for this kitten to reach you :-(

Proves once again that arranged child marriages are bad. Once we have the UID program with proper biometric markers in place, these kind of issues can be avoided.

@Sriram...
I LOL'd at the "matchmakers blacklisted" comment. Names please...

Our family has always been associated with a menagerie of animals, therefore gender identification comes naturally. We love and empathise with animals (sometimes more, when we see how rotten humans can be!). It was always assumed I might go into veterinary.....
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

.......can't change the clock, but no regrets....

BTW, I took her to the Vet for deworming and some health medicines, and she confirmed the gender later on. :-P
