Nayi saal

Nayi Saal

Nayi saal sabi ko mubarak
Ek naya din, ek nayi raat
Khushiyan hi khushiyan manayenge
Nayi khulenge raaste beeshak

Nayi nayi kasamein khayenge
Pichli sab kasmon ko mitado
Abhi naya nayi ka hai zamana
Aise hi nayi saal ko manayenge

Chodo kal ki woh baatein
Bahut ho gayi hai puraani
Aage badaayenge hum kadam
Kasam hai sachchi jo hum khaatein

Naye ka tu mat karo intezaar
Har subah har shaam hai nayi
Nayi har suraj aur har chaand
Roz kasam khao, lagataar

That is a good one.
But just one small comment- Unlike English, in hindi and marathi every noun has a gender. saal, raasta are masculine. So, you say "Naya" Saal. Masc plural becomes "Naye" Raaste. Feminine is "Nayi" Subah, shaam, kasam..... It remains same in plural. Nayi Kasamein is correct.
There is no basis on which the genders are decided. Just have to remember, eg - its Naya din , but Nayi Raat....
The definite article "The" is not affected by gender.....you say wo Rasta, wo deewar, wo subah....but the verb and adj are....Woh Diwar unchi hai, gir gayi hai.....but, Woh rasta lamba hai, kahan jata hai? etc...

Its just Masc and fem in hindi, in marathi we have neuter as well.

If you can work on this aspect, your hindi would be perfect.

(Feel free to ignore this comment......)
