masoor cooks better for sure, you can smash it to a paste.My suggestion is go 50-50 with toor and masoor.Masoor will give a nice consistency and toor will give its unique flavor.
good idea.but have to cook them separately as they cook at different speeds!!
I wash and cook them together. In a pressure cooker. You can cook them acc the toor dal timing, no fear of overcooking the masoor.
